We farm in a beautiful place in Colorado with a view of Longs and Meeker Peaks. Our farm has recently become Certified Naturally Grown; a grass roots alternative to organic. You can read about it in my blog here; http://sagescript.blogspot.com/2012/01/we-are-certified.html. We grow a variety of herbs/vegetables including lavender, mint, cucumber, lemon balm, rose, raspberry leaf, and comfrey to distill for aromatic waters and to make various extracts that we use in our own Colorado Aromatics Cultivated Skin Care products as well as sell separately.
Farm Volunteers
We’ve realized (along with most natural farmers) that you cannot keep up a farm during the summer without a team of volunteers. We welcome volunteers on our farm who are hard working and want to experience the outdoors and farm life with us. We prefer strong people with good backs, but if you don’t fall into that category, we sometimes have less strenuous work such as stripping leaves from stems. Typically we have 2 days each week for volunteers and like them to do a 3 hour shift. Besides spending time with the herbs and meeting new people we are working on a reward system of sorts for our volunteers as well as periodic pot luck dinners. Do contact us if interested.
